Forward-deployed senior data engineer who deploys, hardens, integrates, and operates a data platform (lakehouse, streaming, governance) in DoD environments. Build pipelines across classification boundaries, produce accreditation evidence (STIG/cATO/FIPS), run day-2 operations, train mission teams, and mentor junior FDEs while feeding field feedback into product improvements.

Lead design, implementation, and deployment of open-source, cloud-native features (Zarf). Integrate with defense systems, own architecture decisions, mentor engineers, engage open-source communities, produce documentation, and drive product direction with a focus on Kubernetes, cloud, and secure software delivery.

Manage and support Kubernetes-based hybrid (cloud/on-prem) UDS deployments, implement storage and networking/IAM controls, build and maintain IaC and CI/CD automation, provide on-call SLA support, train and interface with system integrators, and contribute to enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code modules and platform sustainment.

Design and build cloud-native ETL/ELT pipelines and microservices, modernize on-prem systems to distributed services, implement authentication/authorization and data governance, ensure data quality and observability, drive architecture and CI/CD best practices, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders across a US Navy-focused defense program.

Develop, deploy, and maintain the UDS Registry and related tools (Pepr, Lula). Lead architecture and implementation, integrate with defense systems, participate in on-call rotation, contribute to open source, produce documentation, mentor engineers, and influence product direction with user-focused design.
