Own cloud security engineering for an AWS-hosted SaaS platform processing sensitive healthcare data. Responsibilities include security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, infrastructure hardening, secure CI/CD integration, compliance support, data protection, audit evidence, and threat detection. The role partners with SRE and Software Engineering to embed security into architecture and development practices, while participating in security on-call rotations and occasional travel.

Manage end-to-end customer implementations, coordinating data loading, application configurations, and cross-functional activities, while driving project plans and reporting across multiple accounts.

Lead and grow a small SRE/DevOps team to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance of an AWS-hosted SaaS platform handling PHI. Accountable for SLOs/SIIs, incident response, IaC (CDK/Terraform), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), observability, cost and capacity planning, security/compliance (HIPAA/SOC2/HITRUST), DR planning, and cross-functional partnership with engineering, product, and security.
