The Senior Software Engineer will design and develop backend systems and APIs, mentor other engineers, and resolve complex integration challenges in healthcare technology.

Manages customer billing, accounts receivable, collections, contract-to-billing setup, invoice reviews, disputes, reconciliations, and cash reporting. Supports revenue close, accruals, journal entries, audits, internal controls, and billing-system improvements. Partners cross-functionally with Sales, Client Success, Revenue Operations, Accounting, Data, Engineering, and technical teams to resolve billing issues, validate implementations, and improve quote-to-cash processes.

Leads accounting operations and a high-performing team, overseeing monthly close, financial reporting, technical accounting, equity, leases, assets, intercompany transactions, tax deliverables, audits, and M&A integrations. Serves as the Workday accounting expert, supports IPO readiness, partners with cross-functional stakeholders, develops accounting policies and memos, and drives process improvements through AI and systems optimization.

Supports Workday Financials and related finance applications through configuration, reporting, integrations, testing, production support, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement. Partners with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, FP&A, and technology teams to translate business needs into system solutions, improve workflows, validate data, and deliver finance systems projects.

Sells Included Health’s healthcare benefits, wellness, and care-navigation solutions to large self-funded enterprise employers. Identifies and closes complex, long-cycle opportunities, builds relationships with senior benefits executives and consultants, expands customer footprints, manages territory strategy, maintains CRM accuracy, forecasts sales, and consistently achieves large enterprise quotas. The role requires extensive healthcare benefits knowledge, consultative selling expertise, strong executive relationships, and travel as needed.

Leads the client implementation organization, overseeing managers, consultants, and project managers delivering complex healthcare and SaaS client launches. Establishes portfolio governance, launch-readiness standards, escalation processes, implementation methodologies, and cross-functional operating practices. Partners with Sales, Client Success, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Clinical teams to manage risks, dependencies, integrations, operational readiness, client transitions, and post-launch performance. Develops talent, improves delivery quality, and uses performance metrics to drive scalable implementation capabilities.

Leads recruiting program portfolios spanning internal mobility, talent branding, process improvement, contingent workforce management, and ATS change adoption. Owns planning, governance, stakeholder alignment, communications, training, measurement, and continuous improvement. Partners cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Marketing, vendors, and business leaders to improve recruiting efficiency, candidate experience, and program outcomes while influencing without direct authority.

Own the operating system for high-volume recruiting across Clinical, Behavioral Health, and Member Care. Build standardized operating cadences, capacity plans, scorecards, reporting, escalation paths, and corrective actions. Manage agency and vendor performance, expand AI-enabled workflows and automation, improve funnel efficiency, and provide data-driven hiring recommendations. Partner cross-functionally with Talent Operations, recruiters, pod owners, agencies, and senior leaders to create accountability and scale repeatable recruiting processes.

Build and operate accessible, high-performance member-facing web applications using a front-end-first full-stack approach. Contribute to APIs, backend services, data flows, integrations, frontend architecture, testing, observability, and performance improvements. Own projects from concept through production, collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Clinical teams, improve developer experience, support AI-assisted coding practices, participate in technical reviews and incident follow-up, and mentor engineers.

Design, implement, and automate cloud security controls (primarily AWS, with GCP work) using code (Python, Go) and IaC (Terraform). Build authorization and JIT access systems, harden containers and CI/CD pipelines, integrate data classification with access controls, automate security operations and incident response, and partner with engineering to embed HIPAA-compliant, secure-by-design practices.
