The role may also support HVAC controls, low-voltage installation, commissioning, and industrial automation projects.

Leads building automation projects, guides engineering teams, supports proposals and customer relationships, and designs instrumentation, electrical panels, controls hardware, HMI systems, and PLC/DCS algorithms. Performs testing, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, calibration, tuning, documentation, customer acceptance testing, and training. Requires HVAC and plant utilities knowledge, controls programming experience, instrumentation selection skills, and familiarity with industrial automation platforms.

Manages building automation projects from initiation through completion, including schedules, resources, financial reporting, invoicing, change orders, risk mitigation, quality, customer coordination, and team leadership. Oversees project margins, negotiates customer terms, provides technical guidance, and supports engineering standards and quality systems. Requires project leadership experience and knowledge of HVAC, controls, instrumentation, and building automation systems.

Lead onsite delivery of building automation projects, guide teams of 2–5 engineers, conduct system startups, install and configure software, perform loop checks, calibration, functional testing, troubleshooting, and field programming. Lead customer meetings, maintain customer relationships, train representatives, and support HVAC controls testing. The role requires 100% travel to customer project locations.
