Provides complex legal and non-legal research support to lawyers, paralegals, and business staff. Conducts case law, statutory, regulatory, legislative, business, financial, SEC filing, news, and biographical research; summarizes findings; manages alerts and research requests; educates clients on resources; evaluates databases and emerging AI tools; maintains research guides and intranet materials; tracks workflow and bills time while protecting confidentiality.

Supports foreign patent filings, PCT and national-stage applications, docket management, foreign associate coordination, estimates, patent schedule reviews, disclosure documents, and multi-jurisdiction name-change projects. Maintains knowledge of U.S., PCT, and foreign patent rules, coordinates translations and other formalities, reports filing documents to clients, and manages application transfers. Requires strong organization, communication, confidentiality, technical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines independently in a law firm environment.

Manages and validates client, firm, matter, and timekeeper billing rates within the finance system. Implements rate arrangements, discounts, and cost exceptions; monitors expirations; reviews client guidelines and engagement letters; resolves billing inquiries; supports annual rate uploads, reporting, system testing, documentation, and high-volume request tracking.

Supports conflicts searches and clearances for new business intake, lateral hires, and business development. Researches potential conflicts, corporate ownership, entity relationships, KYC screening data, sanctions, adverse media, and financial information. Coordinates with attorneys and firm personnel to obtain clearances, waivers, and engagement letters; prepares reports, maintains client and matter data, supports ethical walls, and coordinates workflow processes in a global law firm.

Reviews and resolves conflicts of interest involving lateral legal hires, new clients, and matters across global offices. The role prepares conflict waivers, reviews Outside Counsel Guidelines, supports ethical walls, coordinates clearances with firm leadership, and trains conflicts staff on professional conduct rules. It requires a JD, active state bar admission, substantial law-firm or financial-institution conflicts experience, strong knowledge of Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Provides first-level technical support for computer, network, telephone, hardware, software, and mobile-device issues. Logs, categorizes, monitors, and escalates tickets while delivering phone and remote assistance. Maintains knowledge of supported technologies, contributes to the IT knowledge base, follows secure IT service processes, and supports projects. The role emphasizes white-glove customer service, troubleshooting, communication, incident management, request fulfillment, and SLA adherence in a legal-services environment.
