Leads enterprise-wide expense management, including governance, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, controls, allocations, and expense oversight. Partners with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, HR, PMO, and business leaders to improve cost discipline, support GAAP and statutory reporting, track project and M&A spending, and drive process automation. Manages and develops the Expense Management team while advising senior leadership on cost drivers and financial performance.

Supports investment accounting, financial reporting, portfolio analysis, reconciliations, regulatory filings, derivative accounting, audit support, and internal controls for a life insurance investment portfolio. Prepares GAAP and statutory schedules, analyzes investment performance, contributes to management and board reporting, and drives process and reporting improvements while partnering with investment operations, treasury, actuarial, risk, tax, auditors, and external managers.

Leads enterprise treasury strategy, liquidity and capital planning, debt management, banking relationships, funding, collateral management, and treasury risk oversight. Presents analyses to executives, boards, regulators, rating agencies, and auditors while guiding treasury technology and service-provider initiatives.

Provide legal counsel on capital markets and treasury matters, including debt and equity offerings, credit facilities, liquidity solutions, funding products, and intercompany lending. Draft and negotiate offering documents, purchase agreements, legal opinions, comfort letters, engagement letters, and term sheets. Support compliance and disclosure obligations, advise senior treasury leadership, and oversee outside counsel.

Lead accounting, reporting, valuation review, and regulatory compliance for a complex derivative portfolio. Oversee U.S. GAAP, statutory, RSTAT, and applicable BSTAT reporting; review investment schedules, disclosures, reconciliations, and journal entries; present portfolio analytics to senior leadership; and partner with Investment, Treasury, Actuarial, Risk, and Finance teams. Drive automation, process improvements, and reporting controls.

Supports the Treasurer in executing capital markets, structured financing, institutional funding, liquidity, and capital management initiatives. Responsibilities include financial modeling, debt issuance support, funding agreement administration, cash flow forecasting, stress testing, capital analysis, rating agency materials, investor communications, banking relationships, covenant tracking, and cross-functional coordination across Finance, Tax, Legal, Investments, Operations, Actuarial, and Risk. The role also provides execution support for FABN programs and manages related reporting and documentation.

Serve as a senior transactional legal advisor for domestic and cross-border insurance M&A, reinsurance, strategic capital initiatives, and related financing arrangements. Lead transactions from structuring and diligence through negotiation, regulatory approval, closing, and post-closing matters. Draft and negotiate reinsurance treaties, acquisition agreements, collateral arrangements, and ancillary documents while managing external advisors and advising cross-functional executives on legal and business risks.

Leads enterprise-wide programs within Talcott’s PMO, overseeing plans, budgets, risks, governance, stakeholder alignment, and delivery outcomes. Partners with executives, Finance, Actuarial, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive transformational initiatives across insurance and reinsurance. Champions process reengineering, automation, AI-enabled delivery, change management, and continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory, financial, and operational requirements are addressed.

Owns enterprise risk management reporting and analytics focused on liquidity and financial risks. Responsibilities include liquidity stress testing, exposure monitoring, risk appetite assessment, management and committee reporting, contingency funding support, model governance, documentation, and audit or regulatory examination support. The role interprets complex risk data, identifies emerging risks, presents actionable insights to senior stakeholders, and improves reporting processes.
