Global Payments Technology (GPLT) organization is seeking an experienced technology manager for leading Payments and Fraud Product Service Orchestration and Business Services. The Payments & Fraud orchestration and business services provide critical Payments/Fraud workflows for domestic and international payment types. The technology manager will manage key application design, development, support and end to end lifecycle management for Treasury Management customers and other Lines of business.

Key Role for Tech Manager:

  • Manage a team of individual contributor engineers both FTE and Contractor
  • Responsible for application availability and stability across the application suite.  Lead design, development, support, vulnerability management, risk and control management, deliver on enterprise and business initiatives.  
  • Lead and deliver in an agile environment and lead strategic architectural improvements.   Identify and recommend opportunities for developing product functional and technical strategies for the domains, actionable short and long-term product roadmaps, partner with business product managers, Platform support and other lines of business
  • Establish a clear vision and set strategic direction to enhance the efficiency, reliability and supportability of the applications while mitigating any potential impacts to the customer.
  • Exhibit strong technical skills and the ability to grasp new concepts and help lead team design discussions on strategic roadmaps.
  • Deliver on Key critical commitments aligned to strategic product priorities
  • Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers
  • Manage people and financial resources for technology engineering
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience using Java, web services, Micro Front End UI, Domain Driven Design, Automation, DEV OPS, BPM model platforms (Like SOA/OSB), Databases (Oracle, Mongo), Kafka/ MQ, UI React design, SDLC tools
  • 2+ years of Cloud experience
  • 2+ years of Agile Methodology
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience including talent and team development, finance forecasting, risk management, ability to present to senior leadership

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse, geographically distributed team
    Experience with production support teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing application environment including leading high visibility production incidents where SLAs are crucial to business success.
    Demonstrated technical experience and hands on experience to help be a key driver in all architectural decisions
  • Having Payments domain or prior experience a huge plus
