Join Vanguard’s College to Corporate Sales Internship Program and gain hands-on experience at one of the world’s largest investment firms. This internship is designed to help you build valuable skills, explore a career in sales, and make a meaningful impact along the way. You'll gain exposure to Vanguard's key sales organizations while leading high-impact assignments that contribute to our mission of giving investors the best chance for investment success. 

In this internship program you will:  

  • Learn and practice sales skills that showcase how relationship management, creative thinking, and problem-solving drive success in a world-class corporation.  

  • Gain confidence in navigating the ambiguities of the industry as you identify problems, recommend solutions, and improve how the business functions.  

  • Receive personalized coaching and mentorship by meeting regularly with your program manager, internship manager, and buddy, ensuring you have the support needed to excel.  

  • Cultivate new relationships in a fast-growing network of dedicated professionals working to do what’s right for the client.

This is your chance to kickstart a career that counts, developing your potential as a confident, capable, and engaging leader under the guidance of top industry sales leadership. The internship program is designed to give you the necessary skills and experiences to excel in sales.  

Upon successful completion of the internship, you will have the opportunity to apply for a full-time role aligned with one of Vanguard’s sales divisions or one of our Vanguard Specialty Programs. These roles and rotational programs promote networking, growth and development, and an emphasis on leadership and client impact.  

What it Takes: 

To be considered for this internship program, we are seeking individuals who are passionate about building a career in sales. Successful candidates bring the following qualities and experiences:  

  • Open to all majors, with a preference for candidates pursuing degrees in Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or related fields, who are interested in a career in financial services. 

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding others in both formal and informal contexts. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to forge and maintain professional relationships within a diverse network.  

  • The ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team.  

  • Quick learnerwith the ability to grasp new concepts swiftly, adapt seamlessly to evolving environments, and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.  

  • A proactive approach to achieving goals and effectively managing multiple tasks.  

Special Factors  

  • At this time, Vanguard is only considering candidates that will not now, or in the future, need sponsorship or other immigration support to obtain U.S. work authorization  

  • This program is a full-time, paid summer internship  

  • The start date for this program will be May/June 2027 

  • Acceptance into the program is contingent upon a successful drug-screening result and background check  

  • You will have the opportunity to give back to the community by donating your time and talent during a paid Volunteer Day with your intern cadre
