Job Description

Role:

  • Brightspeed is seeking a Community Accounts and Engagement Representative to lead property-level growth and drive fiber sales and penetration across Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and Single-Family Home (SFH) communities in a designated region. This role is centered around outbound sales strategies, proactive property engagement, and direct, in‑market execution—including door‑to‑door outreach—to increase Brightspeed’s market footprint.
  • You will work collaboratively with property management teams, leasing staff, and homeowner associations (HOAs) to influence market triggers, accelerate fiber adoption, and strengthen Brightspeed’s presence within assigned communities.
  • As a Community Accounts and Engagement Representative, you will have the opportunity to influence go‑to‑market strategies, activate property-level sales levers, and execute targeted marketing initiatives. You will also coordinate and direct third‑party vendor activity when necessary. This role goes beyond traditional outbound sales by combining strategic planning with hands‑on, field execution to drive measurable penetration outcomes at the property level.

Responsibilities:

  • Property Analysis
    • Analyze business needs across an assigned book of business using data-driven insights and on-site observation.
    • Independently assess relationships, demographics, competitive landscape, and property attributes that create a positive selling environment.
    • Forecast property performance and establish fiber penetration goals at the property level.
  • Property Strategy and Execution
    • Plan, develop, and lead initiatives to increase fiber penetration across MDUs and SFHs.
    • Execute outbound sales and engagement tactics, including door‑to‑door campaigns, outbound calling, email outreach, and on‑site or community events.
    • Create and manage property‑specific action plans designed to drive adoption and improve sales penetration.
    • Identify, prioritize, and act on key market triggers (e.g., lease‑ups, conversions, promotions, events) to accelerate service adoption.
    • Spend 60% or more of working time in the field executing relationship‑building, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Relationship Management and Market Influence
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with property management teams, leasing agents, and HOA boards.
    • Influence and negotiate access for on‑site marketing tactics that support sales objectives.
    • Conduct in‑person meetings, phone outreach, and property events to promote Brightspeed fiber offerings.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with internal sales, marketing, and operations teams to support market launches and ongoing property success.
    • Coordinate, oversee, and direct third‑party vendors supporting property‑level sales efforts and community events.
  • Customer‑Centric Outreach
    • Serve as the primary liaison between Brightspeed and property stakeholders.
    • Address questions or concerns from property teams and residents to ensure a smooth onboarding and sales experience.
    • Represent Brightspeed’s brand through professional communication and high‑quality customer interactions.
  • Marketing Materials and Compliance
    • Own the distribution, placement, and tracking of marketing materials across assigned properties.
    • Ensure all materials are compliant, current, and effectively leveraged by property staff and vendors.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting
    • Track progress against penetration goals, event performance, and sales activity using CRM and operational tools.
    • Maintain accurate property and activity records and participate in regular performance and operational reviews.
    • Recommend adjustments to strategies and tactics based on results and market feedback.

Qualifications

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in outbound, field, or territory‑based sales with demonstrated success driving penetration or growth within defined markets.
  • Sales Tactics and Strategy: Working knowledge of outbound sales techniques, including door‑to‑door selling, cold calling, event marketing, and community engagement.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to educate customers, conduct product discussions, and collaborate across teams.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to establish and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with property stakeholders and community partners.
  • Results Orientation: Demonstrated success executing sales plans and achieving goals in both new and established environments.

A plus if you have:

  • Telecom Experience: Exposure to broadband, fiber, or telecom services and competitive selling environments.
  • Property & HOA Experience: Experience working with property managers, HOAs, leasing teams, or community associations.
  • Technical & Tracking Tools: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and workflow or task‑tracking tools to manage activities and performance.

Language Skills:
•    English required.
