The Vendor Management Sr Analyst is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle management of third-party relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for third-party service requests. This involves overseeing the intake, analysis, and evaluation of third-party services, along with assessing the potential risks and impacts of using them. The Sr. Analyst plays a critical role in supporting due diligence workflows, monitoring and reporting third-party risks, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to implement a risk-based, enterprise-wide strategy for identifying, assessing, and managing third-party risks.
 

What you’ll do at Avant

  • Act as a key advisor to internal stakeholders by addressing queries related to the Vendor Management program.

  • Manage internal stakeholder actions and expectations by collaborating with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, and Technology to ensure proper handling of processes and procedures.

  • Assist in performing initial risk assessments and ongoing reviews to identify, measure, and manage third-party risks.

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new vendors or products by working with business stakeholders to manage third party risk. 

  • Work with vendor owners to complete risk assessments and ensure Due Diligence is completed upon onboarding.

  • Regularly engage with vendor owners to identify any changes to a current vendor’s risk profile and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Collaborate with WebBank’s Vendor Management team to ensure Avant complies with WebBank standards.

  • Support operational reporting on third-party risks and vendor management.

  • Complete an Annual Review for all Critical Vendors and report findings to WebBank. 

  • Track issues and remediation tasks identified during the review

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

  • Maintain an accurate and complete vendor repository in the system of record (e.g., Venminder).

  • Communicates to the business any material third party issues or events and escalate to senior management, when applicable

  • Performs other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned

  • This role requires 3 days in the Chicago office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or a related field with 3+ years of professional experience, is a plus if in one of these fields: vendor management, operations, project management or a similar role.

  • Strong ability to interact with stakeholders at different levels of the organization. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Solid work ethic and high level of motivation.

  • Possess strong  written, communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Ability to interpret SOC 1 & 2 reports, business continuity reports and disaster recovery reports is a plus but not required.

This role is based on our downtown Chicago Office, located in the Merchandise Mart. We highly value collaboration and our hybrid schedule (M, T, Th in-office) enables flexibility to balance work and individual priorities.

Compensation Range:

The base salary range for this job is USD $62,000 - USD $85,000 / Year

Employees new to Avant typically come in below the midpoint of the pay range. The compensation range is based on the level outlined in the job posting, and compensation decisions are dependent on each applicant's experience, skills and abilities.

This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus. These rewards are allocated based on level, impact and performance in the role.
