Position Summary

The Veeva Practice Analyst supports the operational management of the Veeva Practice by coordinating resource assignments, monitoring project hours and budgets, maintaining training and certification records, and keeping project schedules and staffing information current.

This role works closely with Practice Leadership to provide accurate, timely information related to resource capacity, project utilization, training compliance, and project performance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with project and financial data, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a centralized view of Veeva Practice resources, roles, skills, availability, and current project assignments.
  • Coordinate with Practice Leadership to support resource allocation and assignment planning.
  • Track resource start dates, end dates, allocation percentages, planned hours, and extensions.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities for resources assigned to client projects.
  • Maintain resource profiles, including experience, Veeva product expertise, certifications, and project history.
  • Prepare weekly resource capacity and utilization reports for Practice Leadership.
  • Assist with forecasting future resource demand based on active projects and the sales pipeline.
  • Track planned, actual, and remaining project hours by resource, role, workstream, and project.
  • Monitor project burn against approved budgets, statements of work, change orders, and monthly forecasts.
  • Review timesheet data for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with resource assignments.
  • Support reconciliation of project hours with Finance, Project Managers, and account leadership.
  • Maintain resource bios and resumes for the Veeva Practice.
  • Maintain accurate training and certification records for all Veeva Practice resources.
  • Monitor certification expiration dates, renewal requirements, and upcoming training deadlines.
  • Provide periodic reports on certification status, training completion, and identified skill gaps.
  • Support Practice Leadership in developing training plans aligned with project demand and strategic practice priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, finance, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, conditional formatting, and reporting.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile planned hours, actual hours, forecasts, and remaining budgets.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify data inconsistencies, schedule conflicts, budget risks, and missing information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams and leadership.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee, project, client, and financial information appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a Veeva, Salesforce, life sciences, or technology consulting practice.
  • Familiarity with Veeva products such as Veeva CRM, Vault CRM, Veeva Network, Veeva Align, PromoMats, MedComms, or Veeva Vault applications.
  • Experience using project and resource-management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of resource assignment records.
  • Visibility into resource availability, capacity, and utilization.
  • Accuracy of project-hour, burn, and budget reporting.
  • Early identification and escalation of project financial or staffing risks.
