About the Role
The Technical Product Manager is an entrepreneurial leader and a devoted customer advocate who is obsessed with solving problems and improving the customer experience. This role makes a direct impact and helps shape how organizations and media influencers connect with their audiences.
What You Will Do
- Champion our customers, identify customer pain points and new product opportunities, make decisions on product features and functionality, solve challenging problems, influence design and architecture, and turn ideas into customer delight
- Develop product enhancement requirements, from conceptualization through user story development and user acceptance testing
- Own and drive the product vision utilizing experience to solve problems and improve the customer experience based on customer needs and goals
- Bring people together and collaborate across the organization with design, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to drive clarity and alignment, build consensus, make decisions, help define, prioritize and push forward the product roadmap
- Dive into analytics and available data to define successful KPIs, monitor progress, identify opportunities and unveil trends
- Research competitive products and industry trends
- Improve processes; we are constantly learning and improving, and making our product development process more effective
What You Will Need
- 5+ years as a Technical Product Manager including significant experience in developing user stories and the product roadmap
- 3+ years of prior hands-on software engineering experience
- BA/BS degree and comparable experience
- Background having conceptualized, built and delivered successful B2B web application solutions
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated data-driven approach to strategic and tactical decisions
- Technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers
- Experience with Agile software development and continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Experience shipping high-quality products in fast-paced environments
- Prior work experience in public/investor relations, newswire, media intelligence, or marketing communications industries is a plus
- Ability to work remotely

What We Offer
The base salary range for this position is $165K to $180K/year. Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Business Wire reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time.
