Vanguard is hiring a Technical Product Manager in Dallas, TX to provide technical ownership for investment risk data that drives Advice portfolio construction. This investment risk data ecosystem will play a critical role in enabling our risk‑based portfolio construction capabilities.

 This role will be central to executing our strategic vision for investment risk data and delivering new capabilities to meet evolving end‑consumer needs.

An ideal candidate will bring:

  • Technical Fluency – Strong technical foundation with the ability to partner closely with engineering and data teams, understand complex data ecosystems, and make informed product decisions.
  • Data Domain Expertise – Experience working in data‑heavy environments, with an understanding of data quality, governance, pipelines, and scalability considerations.
  • Product Management Foundation – Demonstrated ability to define vision, prioritize work, and deliver value through clear requirements and strong execution.
  • Cross‑Team Collaboration – Ability to work across multiple teams and organizations to align on standards, dependencies, and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads technical product management activities for multiple technical products, or one strategic technical product. Participates in the design and continuous improvement of the technical solution.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience.
  • Coaches technical product teams towards best practices and learnings. Ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.
  • Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner, and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.
  • Leads the planning, development and implementation of new technical products. Defines and analyzes technical markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.
  • Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.
  • Participates in and provides recommendations for ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
  • Participates in the team’s engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (engineering, computer science) or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred. Minimum of five years' related work experience.
  • Two years’ of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.
  • Deep understanding of system architecture and dependencies
  • Hands on technical background/domain expertise
  • Platform or API Product experience
  • Experience working with engineering teams to drive product development from concept to launch.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to align product strategy with business goals.
