About the Role

The Technical Enablement Manager is responsible for driving technical readiness across our customer-facing technical organization. This role partners closely with Solutions Engineering, Product Management, Product Marketing, and technical subject matter experts to ensure Solutions Engineers have the knowledge, confidence, and resources to effectively position, demonstrate, and support SolarWinds solutions.
We're looking for someone who understands what it takes to be successful in the field -- someone who enjoys coaching technical sellers, can quickly turn product knowledge into practical enablement, and embraces AI to make learning more scalable, personalized, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical onboarding and ongoing enablement for Sales, Renewals, and Solutions Engineering teams.
• Partner with Solutions Engineers, Product Managers, Product Marketing, and SMEs to create practical, field-ready technical enablement.
• Translate product updates and technical concepts into clear, actionable training and enablement resources.
• Use AI tools to accelerate content creation, personalize learning, and improve enablement effectiveness.
• Create and maintain technical playbooks, demo guides, labs, job aids, and knowledge articles.
• Drive technical readiness for product launches through targeted training and enablement.
• Deliver technical workshops, coaching sessions, and product deep dives for customer-facing technical teams.
• Maintain technical enablement content within learning platforms and knowledge repositories.
• Measure program effectiveness using learner feedback, adoption metrics, and business outcomes.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify readiness gaps and continuously improve technical enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Enablement professional, Technical Trainer, Customer Success Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Demonstrated ability to coach technical professionals and help them improve customer conversations, demos, and technical presentations.
• Experience partnering with technical subject matter experts to rapidly develop practical enablement content.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Experience using AI tools to improve content creation, knowledge management, coaching, learning experiences, or operational efficiency.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced product environment where priorities shift and new technologies are introduced frequently.
• Experience with enterprise software, SaaS, observability, IT operations, networking, systems management, or cybersecurity is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Field experience supporting customer-facing teams and understanding what drives their success.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.
• Strong balance of technical depth and business acumen, with the ability to make complex topics practical and actionable.
• Interest in AI and experience using it to improve enablement efficiency, effectiveness, and learner engagement.
• Collaborative, resourceful, and execution-oriented, with a bias toward action over process

Why Join SolarWinds

Direct impact on field performance with visibility into how a global SaaS revenue organization operates.

Work within a collaborative enablement team where each person has a clear lane—you focus on field execution, not every function.

A seat at the table with Product, Marketing, Sales Leadership, and RevOps on every major GTM initiative.

An AI-forward environment where tools like Glean and Claude Cowork are part of daily work, not a side experiment.
