General Purpose of Job:
Assist in providing leadership and support to ensure the Health Plan’s business development strategies, objectives, strategic initiatives and growth goals are achieved within the required timeframes. Develop, implement and maintain policies, practices, and programs in conjunction with the Director Heath Plan Business Development and Strategy to meet the organization’s contractual and organizational requirements. Assist in the collaboration with the Management Team to design and implement new business development opportunities driven by quality initiatives to eliminate disparities and improve health outcomes for our members. Provide support to the organization with procurement, vendor contracting, and Facilities Supplies/Equipment needs.

- Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
- Assist Director Health Plan Business Development and Strategy with strategies and operational plans to deliver and maintain new and existing programs that will achieve the organization’s objectives.
- Assist Director to determine, with the Executive Leadership Team and the Management Team, the resources required to provide and/or deliver new services or programs.
- Assist Director in planning and implement operational systems and processes to deliver cost effective delivery systems for new products or programs.
- Assist Director in developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and systems to meet and exceed new development objectives.
- With the assistance of Director develop, implement and maintain a business development strategy that best meets the appropriate opportunities of the Health Plan.
- Develop in conjunction with each direct report his/her annual performance and development plan. Establish clear measurable objectives and provide feedback throughout the year.
- Ensure state licensing requirements are understood and met
- Perform due diligence and research for new opportunities
- Perform Competitive Analysis for business opportunities
- Assist with Vendor Contracting and Facilities Supplies/Equipment
- Other similar duties as assigned.
Positions reporting to the Manager Support Services:
- Special Project Assistants and Special Project Coordinator
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or accounting, or similar equivalent; or five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree in healthcare, business or accounting, or similar equivalent or pursuing degree preferred
- At least 5 years of previous management-level experience in managing health plan or healthcare activities and employees, including professional staff, clerical staff, nurses.
