Project Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer to provide application and infrastructure support in a cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting application issues, managing Azure cloud infrastructure, working with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), and supporting CI/CD deployment pipelines. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work in production environments, and close collaboration with development, DevOps, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for application-related issues, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution
- Troubleshoot issues across IIS-hosted applications, Azure infrastructure, and AKS-based workloads
- Monitor and support Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
- Manage and troubleshoot AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) clusters, deployments, and services
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and releases
- Investigate system logs, metrics, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to resolve production issues and improve system stability
- Perform deployment support, rollback procedures, and hot-fix implementations as needed
- Document incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Participate in on-call support and incident response rotations when required
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational best practices
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with IIS-hosted applications
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS
- Practical experience with AKS / Kubernetes in production environments
- Strong background in DevOps and IT Administration practices, including CI/CD implementation.
- Proficiency in Networking & Protocols, ensuring effective communication and system connectivity.
- Solid understanding of Windows & Server Management, with experience managing enterprise-level environments.
- Strong analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and solid communication abilities.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with federal regulations or compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA)
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, or similar)
