What are we looking for?

Hercules is looking for a staff level growth engineer to help us build the future of AI software development

 

What will you do?

You will own growth across the entire customer journey from landing page all the way through to long term conversion

  • Landing page → signup conversion. Experiment with our landing pages to optimize sign up conversion

  • Sign up → activation conversion: Make sure we get every user to the "aha" moment

  • Sign up → Paid conversion: Convert free users into paying customers with upsells, entitlement experimentation, paywalls, time constrained discounts, and more

  • Retention: Make sure customers keep building on Hercules and stay engaged

  • Expansion & monetization: Continue to grow revenue from existing customers through plan upgrades, increased usage, add-ons, or conversion from monthly to annual plans

 

What skills do we expect you to have?

We expect candidates to be incredibly strong across all of the following areas:

  • Software fundamentals: system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design

  • Code and codebase quality: write clean, maintainable code. Work effectively in monorepos

  • Experimentation: Track record running hundreds of A/B tests on platforms like Statsig, PostHog, etc; robust experimentation best practices

  • Analytics: extensive SQL skills, clear and simple reporting

  • Revenue mindset: able to identify and prioritze the biggest opportunities

  • Product and design sense: build intuitive experiences across landing pages, onboarding, upgrade flows, and engagement features

  • Our core stack: TypeScript, React, containers, Postgres, and Redis

  • AI: able to truly 10x your workflow by being on the frontier of AI coding

Is Hercules in-office or remote?

Hercules founding team works in-office in San Francisco (Kearny and Bush). We have a very strong preference for in office. We are open to remote for exceptional candidates who are willing to 1) work in US time zones and 2) travel to the office regularly.
