Sr. Systems Administrator

Administer and maintain SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration services. Manage security groups, sharing policies, and governance. Administer Microsoft Purview for classification, sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, and compliance alerts. Monitor data protection events and audit logs, coordinate remediation, conduct permissions and compliance audits, provide Tier 2/3 support, develop governance documentation and training, and support platform upgrades, migrations, and performance monitoring.
BIICS, Inc is looking to fill a Sr.
Systems Administrator position. The position is located in Tallahassee, Florida. Consultant is required to reside (relocate)
in Florida and be available to work in Tallahassee, Florida if required.
Note: The staff augmentation consultants are required to be off the
week of Christmas and New Year unless services are required with prior approval
from division leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Administering and maintaining SharePoint
Online, and related Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including
configuration, permissions, site structures, and integrations.
- Ensuring secure and compliant access to
enterprise information by managing security groups, sharing policies, and
platform governance standards.
- Administering Microsoft Purview
solutions, including data classification, sensitivity labels, data loss prevention
(DLP), retention policies, and compliance alerts.
- Monitoring and analyzing data protection
events, audit logs, and policy violations.
- Coordinating remediation with business
and security teams.
- Supporting the design and implementation
of data governance frameworks, content lifecycle processes, and compliance
controls.
- Conducting periodic audits of
permissions, data access, and compliance posture to ensure adherence to organizational
policies and regulatory requirements.
- Providing Tier 2/3 support for
collaboration and information governance platforms, resolving complex technical
and security‑related issues.
- Developing documentation, governance
materials, and training resources for users, site owners, and business units.
- Participating in planning and executing
platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Ensuring
systems operate efficiently and securely by monitoring performance, capacity,
and service health across collaboration and governance platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Related work experience
will be considered.
- Minimum five years of IT work experience
in systems administration, collaboration platforms, information governance, or
security/compliance technologies.
- Minimum five years of experience working
across multiple IT and business functions, including security, compliance,
legal, and records management.
- Minimum three years of experience
defining procedures for monitoring, evaluating, diagnosing and establishing
work plans to resolve system issues.
- Minimum three years of troubleshooting
for complex hardware, software and network problems.
- Ability to work on multiple projects as a
project team member, project leader, and coach more junior technical staff.
- Experience with the administration,
configuration, security, and governance of the organization’s SharePoint
- Online content services, and Microsoft
Purview.
