Job DescriptionLink Solutions is seeking Systems Administrators (Intermediate/Senior) to join our team in Orlando, FL.

The Systems Administrator will support the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) headquarters and be responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of Government IT systems supporting mission-critical operations.
This role works closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure systems are securely implemented, properly maintained, optimized for performance, and reliably available to Government customers.
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering and supporting enterprise server environments, virtualization platforms, cloud-based technologies, storage solutions, and associated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, backup and recovery solutions, systems administration best practices, and cybersecurity compliance requirements within enterprise environments. The successful candidate will help ensure the availability, integrity, and security of critical systems while supporting modernization initiatives and operational excellence across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and health using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively address issues to ensure operational continuity.
- Maintain server stability through regular patch management, configuration management, and system optimization activities.
- Support and administer Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, System Center Management, messaging systems, clustering services, and backup and recovery solutions.
- Ensure proper configuration and compliance of physical servers, virtual servers, storage platforms, workstations, and supporting software in accordance with baseline security requirements.
- Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and knowledge management resources to support operational continuity and training initiatives.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices, perform patch remediation activities, and maintain compliance with applicable security policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Manage and execute data backup and recovery operations utilizing technologies such as NetBackup, Veeam, and HPE StoreOnce.
- Assist in the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Create, update, and maintain databases and supporting systems required for mission-related operations.
- Support cloud migration initiatives, including integration of new technologies, system modernization efforts, hardware decommissioning, and associated documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and application teams to resolve issues and improve system performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders while promoting operational excellence and best practices.

QualificationsIntermediate-Level:
- U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+ or equivalent).
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate certification.
- Four (4+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments.
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure services.
- Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained.
Senior-Level:
- U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+ or equivalent).
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate certification.
- Eight (8+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments.
- Extensive experience managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization technologies, and enterprise infrastructure services.
- Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Service Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience administering Windows Server 2012 or later operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience supporting virtualized environments, including VMware and Linux-based systems.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and security assessment tools such as ACAS, Nessus, and Retina.
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments, cloud migrations, and cloud administration activities.
- Experience providing enterprise application support.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, customers, and all levels of management.
This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
