This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve complex cross-functional architecture and design challenges by simplifying, optimizing, and removing bottlenecks across portfolios, leveraging Java, Python, Microservices, Spring Boot, FastAPI, SQL, and NoSQL.
  • Drive the creation of scalable, maintainable, and standards-compliant enterprise application solutions using modern frameworks and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Independently lead high-impact projects, contribute to planning and prioritization, and provide technical guidance to Software Engineers.
  • Mentor team members through all phases of the software development lifecycle, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and architectural standards.
  • Support SIT and UAT for large-scale initiatives, troubleshoot escalated issues, and ensure seamless integration and deployment using Docker and cloud-ready practices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in any of following competencies: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps
  • 4 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 6 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization
  • 6 years of experience working with source code control systems, defect or incident tracking software, and/or writing technical documentation in a software development environment
  • 6 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions 4 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • 4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment tools
