The Senior Project Engineer/Manager, EPC Portfolio Performance & Analytics is responsible for supporting the EPC Project Organization through the development, management, and continuous improvement of portfolio-level project performance metrics, reporting systems, data governance processes, and business analytics.
This role serves as the central point of accountability for project data quality, KPI development, portfolio reporting, performance analytics, and business intelligence across the Power EPC project portfolio. The position partners closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Proposal Managers, Project Controls personnel, and IT Data Analysts across Engineering, Supply chain and Construction to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable project information is available to support decision-making and improve project delivery performance.
In addition, this role may lead or support efforts to leverage automation, advanced analytics, AI tools, and digital technologies to improve reporting accuracy.
This position functions as an individual contributor with broad organizational influence and authority over project data governance standards and reporting compliance.
 

Responsibilities

Portfolio Performance Management
•    Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Power EPC portfolio performance dashboards.
•    Establish standardized KPIs across all projects and ensure consistent measurement methodologies.
•    Monitor portfolio performance trends related to schedule, cost, staffing, key deliverable production, productivity, risk, change management, quality, and execution.
•    Develop executive-level portfolio reports highlighting performance trends, risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
•    Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio performance reviews.

KPI Development and Reporting
•    Design and maintain a comprehensive KPI framework aligned with organizational objectives.
•    Develop meaningful leading and lagging indicators to predict and measure project success.
•    Ensure consistency of KPI definitions across all projects.
•    Create automated reporting tools and dashboards utilizing Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, and other business intelligence platforms.
•    Support executive leadership with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.
•    Maintains the key personnel/ Power Project Details and Pricing sheets across projects

Data Governance and Quality
•    Establish and enforce project data governance standards.
•    Own the quality, integrity, and consistency of project data used for reporting and decision-making.
•    Conduct routine audits of project information within company systems.
•    Identify data quality gaps and work directly with Project Managers and Project Directors to drive corrective actions.
•    Develop standard reporting procedures and data entry requirements.
•    Serve as the organization's subject matter expert for project performance information.
Authority
This role has authority to:
•    Define project reporting standards.
•    Establish KPI calculation methodologies.
•    Audit project data quality.
•    Require correction of inaccurate reporting information.
•    Escalate recurring data quality issues to leadership.

•    Prepare monthly project portfolio presentations for senior leadership.
•    Consolidate project information into executive-ready communications.
•    Develop presentation content, graphics, dashboards, and trend analysis.
•    Ensure reports provide actionable insights rather than simply reporting data.

•    Support evaluation and  implementation of AI-enabled tools to improve project reporting.
•    Leverage automation to reduce manual reporting efforts.
•    Serve as a champion for digital transformation within the Power EPC organization.

Qualifications

Education
•    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Analytics, Project Management, or related field.
Preferred:
•    MBA or Master's degree
•    PMP Certification
•    Lean Six Sigma certification
•    Power BI certification

Required:
•    7+ years of engineering, project management, project controls, or project performance experience.
•    Experience supporting large EPC projects.
•    Demonstrated experience developing executive-level performance reporting.
•    Advanced Excel and data analytics capability.
•    Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
Preferred:
•    Power generation or utility industry experience.
•    Portfolio management experience.
•    Business intelligence and dashboard development experience.
•    Experience implementing AI or digital solutions within project organizations.
