The Job At-A-Glance:

The Senior Program Manager will oversee and manage large-scale high-complexity software implementation, conversion and integration programs from inception to completion for clients within the financial services industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in program management, excellent leadership and negotiation skills, strong executive presence, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards successful project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage large-scale programs, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

    • Develop and implement program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define program objectives, requirements, and deliverables.

    • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring program goals are achieved within constraints.

    • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including technical, operations, and business stakeholders.

    • Monitor program progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to senior management.

    • Regularly interact with internal and external leadership, including executives, acting as the primary escalation point.

    • Create and maintain program documentation, including standard artifacts and reporting dashboards.

    • Define and manage program governance (controls). Actively manage risks and issues, taking appropriate corrective measures.

    • Maintain a forward-looking view of assigned programs, anticipating issues before they arise.

    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the program team.

    • Interpret contract terms and manage program scope and deliverables accordingly.

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

    Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

    • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.

    • PMP strongly preferred

    • Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects and programs in a matrixed environment, including delegation of tasks and measurement of progress.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Proven ability to lead through influence.

    • Strong leadership skills.

    • Strong teamwork, organization, and problem resolution skills.

    • Ability to anticipate needs and effectively manage risk.

    • Ability to think independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts.

    • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP).

    • Expertise in MS Project and JIRA.

    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to financial services preferred.

    • Ability to travel up to 30%.

    This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
