Q2 is seeking a Senior Renewal Specialist to lead internal customer renewal discussions and ensure all renewal work is completed in a timely, accurate, and accretive manner.  Success in this role requires a high level of organization and coordination with cross-functional teams such as Customer Success, Q2 Legal, Sales Operations, Sales Specialists, and others.  The Renewals Specialist will be measured based on their ability to demonstrate Q2 value, drive incremental revenue, mitigate economic churn, and optimize multi-year renewals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage internal customer renewal process, in partnership with Customer Success, to create a balanced relationship proposal and help Q2 achieve its sales and revenue goals
  • Analyze current and past renewals to assess opportunities and provide recommendations for negotiation strategies that maximize contract value while protecting and enhancing the customer relationship.
  • Actively engage with the CSM and CEM to identify customer requirements and uncover roadblocks to ensure on-time renewals
  • In partnership with the CSM, develop a renewal plan for each customer that summarizes growth opportunities and demonstrates Q2 value
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and other Q2 teams to develop a process for measuring and communicating value/ROI during renewals
  • Partner with Q2 Legal and Sales Operations for creation of proposal summaries and contracts
  • Work in partnership with CSM and Q2 Sales Operations resources to ensure SFDC/CPQ discipline and record-keeping
  • Involvement in quarterly enablement and best practice sessions with Customer Success team

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of Business-to-Business or Business-to-Consumer Customer Success management experience or 3+ years of Renewal Specialist experience
  • Banking or banking software experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and success
  • Proven track record of building positive relationships with peers
  • Strong Microsoft Office Tools and Salesforce skills
  • Position open to both Remote and in-office candidates
  • Travel Requirement is approximately 20%

Q2’s compensation reflects the cost of labor across a variety of U.S. geographic markets, and we pay based upon the applicant’s geographic location as well as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

This position is an exempt position and the range for this position for New York City, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area-based roles is $107,000.00-$139,000.00

For New York state (outside New York City), Washington state (outside Seattle), California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area), and Colorado-based roles, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $92,000.00-$128,000.00

Salary ranges for Sales positions are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission).  A variable bonus and/or restricted stock unit grant may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
