We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Platform Appian Engineer II to join our BPM Enablement Platform team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid as we believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Sr Platform Engineer, you’ll provide critical support for Appian Investment Applications within Pacific Life’s Institutional division. This person will use their technical experience and depth with the Appian Platform to apply industry standards, protocols, technologies, best practices, and commonly used enterprise systems.

How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Work directly with Technology and Business teams to understand the business process and requirements and provide them with end-user support.

  • Partner with IT and functional areas to develop simple, effective, and innovative solutions to simplify the workflow processes.

  • Ensure the smooth operation of Investments Appian applications by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and applying necessary updates and patches.

  • Identify areas for process improvement within existing Investments Appian applications and implement those enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Assist with the creation and review of programming documentation and recommend changes in development, maintenance, and application standards.

  • Perform process development and testing/debugging, using best practices to ensure minimal maintenance.

  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions of the Investments Appian applications with other Appian Platform resources.

The Experience you Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development, information technology, or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience designing and developing BPM Applications

  • Appian Level 2 and/or 3 Certification

  • Software development experience (.NET, Java, Visual Basic, C#, etc.)

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and UI/UX design.

  • Experience with Appian Admin console, administration of application servers would be helpful

  • Familiarity with Appian Integrations, Appian Plug-Ins

  • Familiarity with MS-SQL or equivalent

  • Experience working in an Agile team environment

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Appian, BPM, or other Workflow Development experience

  • Knowledge of Appian development, UI design, defining custom data types, process design

  • Experience working with Azure pipelines, and AWS

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$125,100.00 - $152,900.00
