How You'll Make an Impact
- Prepare, reconcile and remit federal, state and local employment tax returns accurately and on schedule
- Ensure payroll reporting and payments adhere to Spectrum policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct studies and recommend improvements for compliance and employment tax operations
- Assist with resolving tax agency matters and collaborate with Payroll Processing and Technology teams on system releases and patches
- Support verification of employment tax withholdings and reconciliation of employee tax balances
- Coordinate information for payroll tax audits and prepare reports related to tax credits and incentives

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education
Experience
- 5+ years employment tax work experience
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local taxable compensation and unemployment reporting
- Knowledge of employment tax journal entries affecting balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, customers and suppliers in person, by phone and in writing
- Proficiency with personal computer and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Superior organizational, critical thinking and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
- Experience with MasterTax, Agency Notice Tracking System and PeopleSoft HRMS version 9.1 or higher
- Experience with Excel, Pivot Tables and Query report writing
- Experience in jurisdictional tax filing for large multi-state corporations
