Senior IT Data Analyst – FT S&P – Technology Management

Location: Galway

The Role

We have an outstanding technology opportunity for a data analyst in Ireland to contribute to the delivery of modern data solutions for Fidelity Technology Strategy and Planning. As a Senior Data Analyst your work will empower analytics solutions to enable leaders to make real-time business decisions, better optimize their portfolio of work delivery, manage their technology and bring more value to Fidelity and our customers. This understanding empowers both associates and leaders to look across squads/teams, product areas, and domains to better understand technology, dependencies, shared work progress and how their work connects to Fidelity’s overall strategy and Enterprise Priorities. There are complex data analysis requirements from internal data sources into our ecosystem. We are looking for someone experienced in analyzing data throughout its lifecycle, working with development teams, specifying data requirements, and aiding in data model development for Technology Management and Strategy & Planning projects.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • You have a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience in data analysis, or a master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • You have significant expertise in data related projects in the areas of requirements gathering, analysis, interpretation and translating them to data solutions.
  • You have dimensional data modelling design and implementation experience.
  • You are familiar applying data governance and management practices when building data solutions using tools such as Power Designer, Collibra and Alation.
  • You have strong data analysis and data profiling skills with a solid experience using SQL/Python. You are experienced independently wrangling insights from datasets to obtain valuable insights.
  • You have prior experience working with Snowflake the cloud data warehouse platform, its data lifecycle, data movement and data sharing architecture. Ideally you have SnowPro certification.
  • You understand and communicate sophisticated concepts effectively to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. You make the complicated simple.
  • You have a passion for continuous learning, mastering of new skills, and staying on top of the latest innovations across data analytics.
  • You are fluent in agile work methodologies such as scrum and its application. Familiarity with Jira of benefit.
  • You have experience navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams. You can identify alternative approaches and make recommendations on the benefits and shortcomings of each approach.
  • You are known as a go-getter, with the ability to unravel a mystery; data, business process or organizational.
  • You are an effective communicator with a good ability to cultivate relationships. You have good communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong results-orientated contributor with an ability to clearly articulate and deliver business value.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding multi-functional enterprise data, navigating between business analytic needs and data.
