Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing team! In this role, you will support budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reporting for our Enterprise revenue segments, including SMB, Mid-Market & Public Sector, and Wholesale. As a financial partner to the business, you’ll work closely with revenue and cost owners to analyze trends, evaluate performance, and shape strategic financial plans. You will help translate commercial activity into financial outcomes, providing critical inputs to our annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range plan (LRP). Your insights will help the business track toward financial goals and make informed investment decisions. This role is perfect for an analyst who thrives at the intersection of finance and business, with a strong analytical foundation and the interpersonal skills to collaborate across sales, marketing, and commercial strategy teams. The FP&A team at Brightspeed plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s success and helping leadership optimize decision making.  We work in a highly collaborative environment where everyone’s contribution is valued.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with business leaders across SMB, Mid-Market, Public Sector, and Wholesale to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis
  • Analyze revenue trends, operating costs, and key KPIs; deliver variance analyses and actionable insights
  • Support the monthly reporting and reforecast process, ensuring accurate and timely financial updates
  • Help shape the business’s contribution to the annual budget and long-range plan (LRP)
  • Maintain and enhance financial models and dashboards to enable visibility and support decision-making
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, and strategy teams to understand financial drivers
  • Assist with ad hoc financial modeling, scenario analysis, and strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, business finance, or a similar analytical role
  • Strong understanding of P&L mechanics, forecasting, and financial statement interpretation.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Anaplan, SAP, Hyperion, or other planning/reporting tools 
  • Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Proactive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a team-oriented mindset

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • 4+ years of experience with Strategic Corporate Finance in a large enterprise environment
  • MBA / CFA / CPA designation
  • Former Management Consultants with finance transformation or operational finance experience
  • Candidates with experience in telecom, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive industries
  • Prior exposure to Sales, Finance, Commercial / Enterprise business partnerships
