Sparkbox Senior Digital Project Manager

We're seeking a new Senior Digital Project Manager to bring their talents to the Sparkbox team. The right person loves collaboration with coworkers and clients and believes it leads to the best work. Sparkbox has been intentionally working to build a team where we acknowledge our own imperfections, make all feel welcome, and humbly help each other grow.

Our project managers are experienced in running software projects. We strive for a balance between managing logistics and managing expectations, recognizing that it’s the people who drive a project’s success. The digital space is a unique medium, and our project managers understand that and can manage a project with flexibility, always seeking a better process.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end management of digital projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, building trust through clear communication and proactive issue resolution
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure collaboration across UX, design, content, and development teams
  • Prioritize work in partnership with stakeholders, helping guide scope decisions based on value and feasibility
  • Monitor project health, risks, escalating concerns, and adjusting plans as needed
  • Contribute to discovery, estimation, and strategic planning efforts in collaboration with project leadership
Requirements:
  • 5+ years managing digital projects, preferably within an agency or consultancy environment
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams on complex, multi-phase digital initiatives
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and related tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Strong facilitation and prioritization skills, with a focus on balancing scope, value, and stakeholder needs
  • Skilled in leading roadmap discussions, navigating strategic compromises, and communicating product value
  • Ability to manage budgets, meet deadlines, and track delivery against goals
  • Confident communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, including executives
  • Excellent team-management skills

Recommended:
  • Enjoys collaborating with others
  • Enjoys working in client services
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (eg, Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
  • Ability to work successfully as a remote team member
  • Upholds our entry-level values of fluency, empathy, and humility
  • Seeks opportunities to improve project effectiveness and efficiency through evolving technologies, including AI-assisted tools and workflows

We highly value project managers with a collaborative mindset and the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing strategic insights across disciplines such as design, technology, content, and business strategy.

We’re better when we work with our clients, not just for them, so we’re looking for someone with a deep desire for collaboration to build strong partnerships. Being a solid communicator, internally and externally, will be critical to our success. To see a full list of job responsibilities, please reference the job description.
