This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our Fort Mill, SC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.

The Financial Services division is looking to add a Senior Data Scientist to our data team. As a Sr Data Scientist you will be responsible for driving meaningful change across our business. By leveraging your expertise in ideating how trends in our data can inform business strategy, you will partner directly with website experience, paid media, business operations, and SEO teams to maximize the value they can drive for our business. Our Sr Data Scientist proactively identify opportunities for applying business insights, advanced analytics, and data science techniques by becoming intimately familiar with both data and business goals. You will act as a data savvy consultant, creating insights, solving problems, building new solutions and making business and marketing recommendations. 

This position is based in our Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule being in office Tuesday-Thursday.  

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic insights derived from digital marketing, web event and conversion data that drive marketing investment and customer experience decisions
  • Build compelling visualizations and interactive dashboards that tell a story with data
  • Utilize statistics to inform testing strategies and probabilities to make informed business decisions
  • Conduct hands-on advanced analytics using multiple data sources originating from different applications and systems
  • Build relationships with business teams and data science teams to identify opportunities for deep analytics on customer behavior and site performance
  • Become very familiar with our unique AdTech and MarTech stacks and the role of data with each of them
  • Work with data science, data engineers, architects, and business teams to ensure analysis and visualizations scale efficiently
  • Mentor more junior data analyst teammates
  • Find new opportunities and usages of data within our product ecosystem

What we’re looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in complex business analysis, digital analysis, or marketing analysis role
  • Bachelor's Degree or even better, Master's Degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or other relevant degrees
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Experience in building SQL queries across complex relational database
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and communicate recommendations to leadership
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of working well with business stakeholders
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks, sampling methods and statistical analysis is a plus
  • Knowledge of digital attribution and digital analytics is preferred
  • Statistical programming knowledge (e.g., R or Python) is preferred 
  • Strong technical and data foundation that enables you to communicate effectively with data scientists, understand relevant algorithms, and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented. You can guide a team to focus on the activities that will drive the largest lift to targeted metrics
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen and capable of coming up with data-driven ideas to create value for consumers and business partners

Compensation

  • Cash Compensation Range (CLT): $155,000 - 203,000*

*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
