The Position
Serve as a Lead & Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical expertise supporting site data and digitalization efforts. Identify and share better practices, to include increasing awareness of data management standards & validation to create improvements in methods, techniques, approaches etc., for optimization & simplicity in our processes. Responsible for executing advanced data analysis projects that support site data and digitalization efforts with respective complexity (according to the technical development pathway) and with little to no guidance from the manager. Responsible for providing data-based insights as business and manufacturing intelligence to an end-consumer business decision-maker.

Essential Functions
- Execute projects with the aim of developing, validating, implementing, and maintaining analysis tools to support data-driven decisions using established methodologies
- Implementing advanced optimization algorithms for complex production processes, machine learning for anomaly detection and predictive maintenance, advanced control strategies for quality improvements, inventory management using predictive analytics and demand forecasting
- Developing custom algorithms for specific manufacturing challenges, integration of artificial intelligence for autonomous decision-making in manufacturing, leading innovation using state of the art manufacturing and business intelligence techniques
- Identify and ideate improvement-optimization projects using input from stakeholder needs. Define problem formulation, objectives, and scope with stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design and building of data pipelines for cleaning, transforming, and combining datasets from wide variety of data sources
- Support manufacturing, business, and project departments with process understanding, analyses, and systematic problem solving
- Remain current with industry trends, identifying opportunities, developing roadmaps and participating/conducting Proof of Concept
- Present and define initiatives & information accurately & explain industry jargon in a clear manner for end-users
- Recommend and identify process gaps & develop/implement actions that support the production goals and needs
- Recommend input to solution feature enhancements & process improvements
- Coach & train colleagues & stakeholders in relevant areas
- Own self development & initiative to understand the site process control systems, data management systems, and differing data sources (PCS, MES, SAP, PI Historian)
- Serve as a Lead and SME in supporting audits & inspections for specified AMS solutions
- Utilize the appropriate cLEAN® tools within the main areas of Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, & project management
- Serve as the Lead and SME to operate within compliance with a quality mindset that focuses on risk management & mitigation
- Lead the training & implementation of effective change management
- Lead Support Corporate, PS AM, local IT, & local stakeholder initiatives & projects
- Lead the team's Change Management standards and always manage assignments within compliance with a Quality Mindset that focuses on risk management and mitigation. Utilize the appropriate cLEAN® tools when relevant
- Lead in the following of all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant field of study from an accredited university required
- May consider an associate's degree in engineering technology or a relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10) years of IT or Engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems required
- May consider a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of twelve (12) years of Engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems required
- Minimum of eight (8) years of Engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems required
- Knowledgeable in the following applications or technologies: MES, PCS, PI Historian, Data Analytics and Visualization Platforms (Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI) preferred
- Proven expertise, (e.g., project management) in planning/organization & project execution, follow-up, & completion required
- Ability to translate high level direction into actionable tasks that deliver results using cLEAN® / Six Sigma methodologies required
- Excellent skills on interpersonal commutations and relationship management to collaborate in a team environment required
- Pharmaceutical industry experience (GxP) preferred
- Data Visualization with Tableau experience required
- Experience in applying systematic and rigorous analytics methods to improve data-related business processes required
- Strong IT Knowledge, demonstrating ability to handle most situations independently and with minimal guidance required
- Ability to identify better practice and create improvements in methods, techniques, approaches, etc. required
- Proven expertise in Windows based operating systems and associated applications required
- Proven expertise in system interfacing and integration required
- Experience in Project Management, Batch Reporting, Database Tools, Self-analytic BI (Business Intelligence) Tools, Data Modelling Techniques, and Machine Learning required
