Park Avenue Group, a division of Angott Search Group, is partnering with a financial institution in the search for a Senior Credit Analyst. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced commercial credit professional who can evaluate complex credits, provide sophisticated underwriting support, and serve as a trusted resource to lenders and the broader credit team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex commercial, commercial real estate, and consumer credit requests.
- Perform detailed financial, cash flow, collateral, and credit analysis for new loans, renewals, and portfolio reviews.
- Prepare and present comprehensive credit memoranda and recommendations.
- Evaluate borrower financial statements, tax returns, projections, industry trends, and repayment capacity.
- Review appraisals and assess collateral adequacy.
- Recommend loan structures, terms, covenants, and conditions consistent with credit policy.
- Monitor covenant compliance and identify potential credit risks.
- Conduct financial research on existing and prospective commercial clients and ACH customers.
- Assist with portfolio stress testing and other credit risk initiatives.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Credit Specialists and Credit Analysts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of commercial and commercial real estate underwriting experience.
- Formal credit training required.
- Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis, financial statements, cash flow, and credit risk.
- Knowledge of applicable banking laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience analyzing complex credits and providing guidance to lending partners.
