Join our dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis Team as a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst focused on automotive commercial financial analysis and underwriting. As a key player within the Lending Team of a leading automotive F&I provider, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Leadership, and internal departments to drive sound business decisions while also managing risk in a dynamic economic environment. Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Underwriting: Analyze tax returns and various statements at group and individual levels (CPA, manufacturer factory, pro-forma and personal financial) to determine financial soundness and cash flow repayment ability. Review draft loan/advance agreements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Deal Structure: Review JM&A customer relationship profit models, available collateral, and financial position to propose loan/advance structures that enhance relationship profitability while also ensuring adequate repayment capacity to mitigate risk. Frequent collaboration with the field sales team.
  • Credit Committee Presentation: Prepare and present comprehensive credit request packages for approval. Meeting attendees include senior leadership team, sales, acquisition, and legal associates.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor performance of loans/advances once booked and collaborate with field sales team to ensure that relationships are performing as expected. Maintain a dynamic lending portfolio dashboard.
  • Process Improvement: Increase productivity and efficiency by automating workflows, improving data integration, and developing standardized and customized reports, dashboards, and tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial financial analysis and underwriting; automotive experience a plus.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, with a natural curiosity to explore data and uncover insights.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI and Power Automate a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate skillfully with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
