POSITION SUMMARY

Scheduler I is an experienced project controls professional with strong proficiency in CPM scheduling and schedule management. This role operates independently with moderate oversight and is responsible for managing schedules across all phases of the project lifecycle—from RFQ to closeout. Scheduler I ensures schedule accuracy, performs analysis, and communicates findings to stakeholders.

 

PRIMARY POSITION OBJECTIVE

To manage and maintain project schedules that align with construction execution plans, ensuring timely updates, resource alignment, and schedule integrity. The Scheduler I collaborates with field leadership and project controls teams to support reporting, earned value tracking, and schedule health monitoring, while contributing to planning meetings and mentoring less experienced schedulers.

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and validate project and owner reports (daily, weekly, monthly).

  • Lead schedule update meetings and represent construction plans.

  • Perform schedule updates, logic re-application, and resource distribution.

  • Analyze resource requirements and recommend corrective actions.

  • Monitor schedule health indicators and execution adherence.

  • Conduct quality checks (e.g., open ends, float, Acumen Fuse).

  • Balance earned hours between earned value systems and schedules.

  • Mentor junior schedulers and support their development. 

Qualifications

IREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of industry experience, or 6 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Minimum 1-3 years in scheduling or project controls.

  • Proficient in scheduling software (Primavera P6).

  • Familiarity with earned value reporting and histogram interpretation.

  • Understanding of intermediate CPM principles. 

 

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Scheduling Software (Primavera, Oracle)

  • CMIS, Acumen Fuse, Qtrax

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
