POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
 

We’re seeking an individual that is driven to take ownership of total region management with demonstrated history of building velocity within their team performance. Responsible for total region management of new business acquisition within the hospitality sector. This includes territory planning, lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, solution demos, configuring solution sets, close of all new business, and sales expansion within the assigned territory. Primary call points are in the restaurant and hospitality segment. Significant interactions with hospitality management from General Manager to C-Level required. Regional Director will drive performance and maximize sales based upon the company’s goals and objectives.
 

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Communicate and inspire a vision for your team’s successful performance
  • Develop region and territory strategy
  • Report, analyze, and act on team performance metrics
  • Achieve forecast accuracy and consistency
  • Maximize sources of all new business: competitive conversions, new markets, etc.
  • Partner with other business units to expand cross-sell opportunities
  • Identify, build and develop relationships and referrals
  • Provide timely and thoughtful feedback on market conditions, issues, and opportunities
  • Understand the customer’s business objectives and ensure NCR is viewed as a strategic partner to help meet these goals
  • Manage the sales process:
  • Build funnel – know how to prospect and run lead campaigns
  • Qualify leads – can the customers use our solutions
  • Identify decision makers – in depth discussions on business issues
  • Develop relationships– tie our solutions to business pains/problems
  • Close – negotiate contractual and financial terms
  • Communicate effectively and drive cross functional teams to ensure customer success
  • Conduct needs assessments for identifying and developing NCR solution sets
  • Manage all sales activities within Salesforce, including maintaining and updating pipeline and accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, territory planning, forecasting, lead management, opportunity management, and quoting
  • Manage end-to-end sales process, including NCR solution configuration, sales proposals, sales presentations, sales submission documentation, and detailed communications to implementation teams
  • Manage assigned demo and consumable inventory
  • Support of industry trade shows
  • Conduct business within budget guidelines for expenses; submit expenses on a weekly basis
  • Adhere to all NCR policies, procedures and business ethics codes
     

Basic Qualifications

  • 5-8 years + of related business and sales management experience along with a proven track record of success in sales
  • Experience in the restaurant industry 
  • Hunger to win and succeed
  • In-depth experience and understanding of the Hospitality market and related competition
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Demonstrated ability to manage partnerships within your industry
  • Ability to develop accurate forecasts and execute tactical sales plans
  • Demonstrated history of managing the sales process and developing strategic roadmaps which align customer needs, issues and opportunities with industry best practices and solution offerings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including establishing credibility and trust with cross functional teams that can impact your customer including engineering, development, finance, legal, and professional services organizations
  • Strong leadership, management, and motivation skills
  • Significant business acumen
  • Ability to forge and leverage exceptional internal and customer partnerships
  • Experience in developing and executing solution sales strategies
  • Ability to work and manage in a matrix management environment
  • Ability to work well within team environment
  • Ability to travel at least 40% annually and up to 70% depending on specific territory needs
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline
  • Previous experience in Hospitality software sales and/or payments processing would be considered as a plus
  • Background in SaaS and/or application software
  • Previous experience using Salesforce
  • Strong executive presence
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent)
