As a Product Market Manager in Merchant Services, you play a crucial role in understanding customer needs and pain points to inform the middle market product strategy and ensure that JPMC's products are well-suited for the market across industries. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.
Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co processing over $2.2 Trillion in annual transaction volume. Merchant Services is a leading providers of payment, fraud, and data security for companies of all sizes and is engaging in a multi-year international expansion, platform modernization. The candidate is a strategic and analytical leader and is passionate about delivering solutions to clients. The candidate should have experience facilitating and influencing product, sales, and technology transformations. The candidate should possess an understanding of how corporations leverage payments and fintech services to manage and grow their business.
Job responsibilities
  • Focus on designing, developing, and launching products for mid-sized businesses that rely on payment processing and merchant services
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, prioritize features and ensure products are aligned with market trends and company goals
  • Middle Market Product Strategy-Defining the product strategy for merchant services, including identifying new product opportunities and partnering with product to drive the product roadmap
  • Client Engagement-Engaging directly with clients to gather feedback, understand their needs and prioritize product requirements
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration-Collaborating with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams to bring products to market successfully
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis-Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product differentiation
  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Experience in payments, merchant services or acquiring
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
