At Vanguard, we believe a great client experience should do more than make investing easier — it should help investors make better decisions and improve their chances of long-term success. The CX Alpha program brings together product management, investment methodology, analytics, user experience, behavioral science, and technology to design and scale digital experiences that encourage positive investing behaviors and create measurable value for clients.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategic vision and roadmap for CX Alpha’s digital experiences designed to help self-directed investors build and maintain well-diversified investment portfolios. This role will partner across the organization to identify client needs, shape product strategy, and bring behaviorally informed, data-driven experiences from concept to launch.

This is a strong opportunity for a product leader who is energized by experimentation, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and motivated by building experiences that can create meaningful value for investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic vision and product roadmap for self-directed investor experiences designed to help clients build and maintain well-diversified portfolios.

  • Translate client needs, behavioral insights, investment methodology, and business priorities into clear product opportunities, hypotheses, and delivery plans.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams across digital product, marketing, data and analytics, legal, compliance, and technology to bring new CX Alpha concepts to life.

  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to continually improve the client experience while balancing client value, business priorities, feasibility, and risk.

  • Help shape the broader CX Alpha vision and ensure diversified portfolio priorities align with Personal Wealth’s goals and long-term strategy.

  • Challenge business and technical partners to think creatively and drive toward scalable, high-quality solutions.

  • Participate in and influence ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.

  • Improve the CX Alpha operating model by strengthening how the team collaborates with cross-functional partners and fosters a culture of learning and experimentation.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Minimum of eight years related business experience. Three years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.

Competencies looking for

  • Experimentation mindset: Comfort defining hypotheses, testing concepts, learning quickly, and scaling what works.

  • Relationship orientation: Ability to build trust and influence across product, design, analytics, technology, marketing, legal, compliance, and business partners.

  • Systems thinking: Ability to look across a complex client experience, connect dependencies, and identify scalable opportunities.

  • Innovator’s mindset: Curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and a willingness to challenge existing assumptions in pursuit of better client outcomes.
