Job DescriptionSummary: The MEP coordinator will work cross-departmentally as the on-site support for the successful execution and delivery of integrated projects. This role will lead the coordination of equipment delivery, installation, QA/QC inspections, and L1-L5 commissioning support, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Project Support:
- Support the PM's management of project schedules and budgets, resource allocation, and progress tracking
- Closely collaborate with Senior Project Managers, Program Managers, Engineering Leads, VP of Delivery, VP of Services, and other stakeholders
- Continuously and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to optimize project outcomes
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical support to team members and resolve technical issues
- Provide hands-on expertise to ensure projects and products are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards
- Support the design, installation, and maintenance according to project specifications and industry best practices
- Quality Control:
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures
- Identify and address quality issues or discrepancies
- Support the attainment of equipment production and delivery schedules from our partners and suppliers
- Safety:
- Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures
- Ensure all work is performed safely and responsibly
- Project Support:
- Minimum of 5 years of field experience in skilled trades with a preference for a strong electrical background, journeyman's or master's license a plus.
- A strong understanding of:
- construction drawings- electrical, mechanical, controls
- mission critical electrical power distribution schemes and equipment (e.g. switchgear, generators, UPS, PDU, STS), mechanical systems, and industry standards
- Data Center topologies and redundancy schemes
- Ability to identify and resolve technical project-related issues
Required Skill/Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, matrix organization – leading, collaborating, following, motivating, and supporting teams effectively
- Ability to cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
