Job summary
The DigiCert Marketing Events Manager supports the planning of major corporate and Internal Events throughout the year including tradeshows, conferences, meetings, and field events. The Marketing Events Manager should be a highly organized person with an ability to manage multiple projects at a time, resources, budgets, and onsite personnel.
What you will do
- Manage event and trade show booths each year, working closely with marketing and sales teams to drive brand awareness and product revenue. Planning includes logistics, staffing, booth layout, booth furnishings, labor and marketing materials.
- Work with external vendors for various tradeshow needs.
- Tradeshow management for regional and national shows- Logistics, staffing, booth layout, booth furnishings, and labor needs.
- Pre, during, and post-show marketing material needs and advertising opportunities.
- Act as liaison between corporate marketing and the field; be the face of marketing to the field sales teams, and conversely communicate needs of the field back to corporate marketing.
- Work with the regional marketing managers and sales teams to staff events.
- Assist DigiCert attendees with travel support and coordination.
- Ordering and tracking event inventory include collateral, giveaways, etc.
- Capture and assist with coordinating social content while at shows and engage with attendees.
- Attend select tradeshows as needed (travel 25%-35%).
- Pre and post show communication.
- Both internal and external.
- Track Budgets given to you by the business unit.
- Support events with registration sites and requirements.
- Create and define budgets for events (not just track them as in the role description).
- Identifies and Evaluates key events (above and beyond just taking the events given).
- Manages additional events outside our scope of events (always willing to take on additional events like Partner events, field events, internal events, etc.).
- Works with the Regional Marketing Leader and Product Marketing team to develop event strategy, content and objectives; spearheads initiatives to meet objectives based on lead and pipeline generation, and more.
- Drives pipeline and generate MQLs through onsite activations and support of the Sales team.
- Additionally responsible to track results of events and create pipeline from events.
- Analyze, track, and report on event ROI based on predetermined pipeline and MQL metrics (DCP and MIP) using Salesforce.
- Production Management – Knowledgeable and familiar with Event Production and AV set ups and terms.
- Negotiate and execute contracts for large and small-scale events.
- Additional Systems/Software Knowlededge a PLUS.
- Online marketing and registration systems such as CVENT, Eloqua, Salesforce.
What you will have
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
- 5+ years of related marketing experience, ideally in event marketing, field marketing or demand generation.
- Strong communication skills – written and oral.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You are creative, innovative, and always think outside the box.
- You are metric driven and have the ability to draw insight from complex marketing data.
- Confident with a dynamic personality.
- Capable of standing comfortably for up to eight hours a day, working long hours, and traveling frequently.
