The Role

The Sr. Event Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in driving and implementing GoGuardian's event marketing strategy. This role requires a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for events and a proven track record of success in planning, executing, and measuring impactful events that span the customer journey. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in event marketing, a strong understanding of marketing principles, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception through completion.

What You'll Do

Develop and Execute Event Strategy:

  • Develop an integrated event strategy aligned with overall marketing and business objectives.
  • Ensure events support multiple stages of the sales and marketing funnel (ex: lead generation, brand awareness, customer retention).
  • Reinforce GoGuardian's brand positioning through strategic partnerships, event activations, and brand appearances.

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Define target audiences, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each event.
  • Own and maintain the GoGuardian event calendar, capturing all instances of event activations and brand appearances.
  • Develop and manage budgets for individual events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximum ROI.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Utilize various marketing channels (digital, social media, email) to drive event attendance.
  • Implement registration processes and tools to track attendee numbers.

Post-Event Analysis & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze attendance data to inform future event planning.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with sales teams to ensure proper lead follow-up.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event against predefined KPIs.
  • Gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, vendors, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed reports on the performance of events, including key metrics and insights.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in event marketing, with a proven track record of success in planning and executing high-impact events.
  • Experience in developing and managing event budgets.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong  analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability  to analyze data and draw meaningful insights.  
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment using Google Suite, Slack and project management tools such as Jira/Airtable.
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C event activations is a plus.
  • Prior edtech experience is a plus.

The typical base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000 per year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
