Be part of the connection:
You balance employee advocacy and business operating needs by implementing processes related to the full employee lifecycle: from recruitment to training and development to employee relations and engagement. You also assist with executing a variety of HR projects and programs for Spectrum Business including employee benefits, performance management, talent planning, and leadership development. You collaborate with teams in person and digitally within an office environment.
How you can make a difference:
  • Assist with execution of HR projects and programs, to include managing timelines, creating and giving presentations, sharing relevant resources with HRBPs, pulling reports, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand business challenges and ensure effective and timely HR support.
  • Help execute the performance management program and consult on professional development opportunities for clients.
  • Guide all aspects of employee relations, including managing escalations and conducting investigations, while ensuring that company policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with EEO, FCC and Affirmative Action.

What you bring to Spectrum Business
Required qualifications:
  • Experience: Five or more years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a multi-location environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or organizational behavior, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Technical skills: Advanced knowledge of state, local and federal employment laws, procedures, federal wages and hourly laws; Understanding of recruitment trends, employment practices, employee relations, procedures and applicable laws; Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Skills: Prioritization, organizational, presentation and English communication skills.
  • Abilities: Ability to interact with the public in a professional manner.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Proficient in Excel to include functions such as pivot tables, sorting, basic formulas, and V/XLOOKUPs
  • Keen attention to detail with ability to pick up on data inconsistencies
  • Previous experience with employee relations, leave of absence, and accommodation process
  • Experience managing end-to-end projects or assisting with managing a program
  • Master's degree in a related field, PMP, or SPHR certification
