As Logistics Manager, you'll oversee transportation operations, manage vendor relationships, ensure timely deliveries, and optimize logistics performance for local pizzerias.
The summary above was generated by AI

Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family’s pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, goods and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We’re growing and adding more talent to help fulfill this valuable mission. That’s where you come in.

The Challenge to Solve

Buying affordable, high quality supplies is one of the biggest challenges facing local independent restaurants today; they pay higher prices than franchises and often must use outdated systems to place & receive their orders. Slice’s "The Goods" seeks to solve this challenge by empowering local pizzeria owners to order high-quality supplies at unmatched prices, on demand, in just a few clicks.

The Role

As our Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of the full transportation journey: from supplier shipments to warehouse transfers and, most critically, to final delivery at customer locations. Your focus will be on building a fast, cost-efficient, and scalable logistics operation that delivers real impact to the thousands of independent pizzerias we serve.

You will manage vendor relationships, coordinate inbound and inter-warehouse freight, and lead last-mile delivery operations including fleet oversight, route optimization, and delivery performance. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure products are delivered on time with minimal disruption and maximum visibility.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in execution. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting delivery issues, tracking key logistics metrics, and continuously improving how goods move through our network.

The Team

You’ll be part of Slice’s growing Supply Chain team and report directly to the Head of Supply Chain. You’ll collaborate daily with teammates across procurement, customer experience, marketing and with our external supplier partners to turn plans into execution.

We’re a collaborative, hands-on team that takes pride in what we’re building. Everyone rolls up their sleeves and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to do the same.

The Winning Recipe

We’re looking for a highly motivated, hands-on logistics leader who is comfortable building and managing day-to-day transportation operations, navigating ambiguity, and collaborating across functions to ensure seamless product movement.

These are the core competencies this role calls for:

  • 5+ years experience across end-to-end logistics, with an emphasis on last-mile delivery execution
  • Experience with route planning, optimization, and managing fleet performance
  • A track record of managing freight from supplier to warehouse and between distribution centers
  • Confidence working with carriers on quotes, contracts, performance metrics, and claims
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving delivery challenges including missed SLAs, detention, and demurrage
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external partners
  • Is analytical and detail-oriented but fast-moving and focused on outcomes
  • Brings curiosity, urgency, and a problem-solving mindset to everyday challenges

The Extras
Working at Slice comes with a comprehensive set of benefits, but here are some of the unexpected highlights:

  • Flexible PTO
  • Market leading medical, vision and dental insurance
  • 401K matching up to 4%
  • Personal development & wellness reimbursement/stipend
  • Weekly pizza stipend (Yes, that’s a thing!)

Salary Range: $110-$140K + benefits.

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

The Hiring Process

Here’s what we expect the hiring process for this role to be, should all go well with your candidacy. This entire process is expected to take 2-3 weeks to complete and you’d be expected to start on a specific date.

  • Application
  • 30-minute introductory meeting with a TA Partner
  • 30-minute meeting with our Head of Supply Chain
  • 30 minutes each with Senior Leaders at Slice
  • 30-minute final meeting with our Head of Supply Chain
  • Offer!
