We are seeking an ambitious, resourceful, detail-oriented professional to enter into a career with the Dispute Resolution branch of our Escalated Recovery Department. As a Legal Assistant, you will contribute to the Dispute Resolution Department’s efforts to recover on defaulted contracts. You will report directly to our in-house counsel, and work collaboratively with our growing team of Legal Support Professionals. This role offers long term hybrid flexibility.

In this role you will:

  • Administer your own Arbitration caseload under the supervision of our in-house counsel. Includes drafting of legal documents, filing of demands, maintaining up-to-date reporting for attorneys, keeping track of all the details and deadlines on your caseload, and providing high-quality work product that requires little to no editing before filing.

  • Prepare for and attend Arbitration telephonic hearings as needed.

  • Compose complaints, affidavits, legal briefs, and emails to attorneys.

  • Collaborate with Recovery professionals in other verticals to focus on timely and efficient dispute resolution.

  • Review and arrange payments for invoices.

  • Maintain legal databases.

  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail for the department.

  • Various other administrative duties as needed including ad-hoc collections initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3+ Years Experience working in a fast-paced litigation environment

  • Adaptable to changing needs of the team

  • Working knowledge of Word

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Excel (Preferred)

  • Experience implementing AI workflows

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $29.80 - $31.25 USD

Monthly Variable: You have the potential to earn an additional $250 USD per month in variable compensation. The final payout of variable compensation is determined by achievement of performance metrics.

Annual Target Bonus: 5%
