The Leave of Absence (LOA) Administrator (Charlotte Corp Office) is responsible for the day to day administration of employee leave of absence (LOA) and accommodation cases. Effectively coordinate claims/LOA cases in compliance with all applicable federal/state/provincial legislation as well as company policy. Performs exemplary customer service and assistance to employees and business partners to achieve the goals and objectives as set forth by the Company.
What you'll do:

Case administration of employee leave of absences and accommodation cases

Provide information, guidance and direction to employees regarding leave of absence policies and procedures

Process applicable disability claims forms efficiently and effectively with the related disability carrier and provide necessary updates

Provide employees with a customized package of various time off options to support the appropriate potential paid and unpaid time off

Responsible for all communications with employees, managers and HR Contacts during the duration of each case

Maintains required leave documentation, responsible for verifying eligibility, classifying the leave type and updating the systems accordingly

Work closely with team members in Payroll and Human Resources as needed

Support the HR Contact and UR Legal Team through the interactive accommodation process

Maintain required documentation regarding accommodation requests
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent/related work experience
-
A minimum of 3-5 years related experience
-
1 -2 years of full cycle LOA experience, multistate preferred; Canadian provincial employment law knowledge a plus

Highly organized, experience working in a fast-paced environment with numerous deadlines and competing priorities

Thorough knowledge of Federal and State laws and rulings related to leaves (disability, parental and family leave) and the accommodation process, including the American’s with Disabilities Act

Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with internal and external vendors and internal clients

Excellent computer skills, especially with spreadsheets, databases and MS Office programs
