As an Employee Relations Manager I, you'll engage in the development, planning, and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures. You'll perform various employee relations duties, including employee counseling, equal employment opportunity, disability services, and labor relations. You'll have the opportunity to work with people across all parts of the business and help them focus on doing their best work as you see their HR needs through to resolution.
WHAT OUR EMPOYEE RELATIONS MANAGERS ENJOY MOST

  • Working closely with managers and field human resources to ensure consistent application of policy, practices, and initiatives
  • Advising, coaching, and guiding managers on disciplinary issues including misconduct, policy or practice violations, corrective actions, and termination
  • Reviewing challenged termination decisions and disciplinary decisions for fairness, consistency, and potential legal liability
  • Making recommendations to resolve concerns that promote a fair, equitable, and inclusive workplace
  • Utilizing high-level judgment and risk recognition skills to appropriately identify and estimate legal risk


As you efficiently manage employee interactions, your goal is to provide excellent service with an appropriate sense of urgency. Needs constantly change as you provide counsel on a variety of employee relations-related issues. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years recent experience as a human resource generalist of which 5 years in Employee Relations in a heavy service, field operations or call center setting
  • Education: Bachelors' degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical Skills: Certified in ELI training programs required. Certified in Internal Investigations required
  • Skills: Demonstrated communications skills. Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Abilities: Can prioritize and organize effectively
  • Travel Ability: Office environment. Travel a minimum of 10%


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • PHR or SPHR
