We're looking for an HR Business Partner to drive companywide people programs that are central to our employee experience, build strategic partnerships with business and functional leaders across the company and offer organizational support. You'll serve as a key partner to Flatiron's core U.S. business units, working closely with senior leaders to translate business priorities into effective people strategies, shaping how leaders and teams grow, evolve and thrive. As part of the HRBP team, you'll report into a Director, HRBP.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves solving organizational challenges, and brings a systems-thinking and data-driven approach to scale people practices that grow and align with our business objectives.
In addition, you'll:
- Act as a strategic advisor to managers and leaders, building trust and credibility while aligning people priorities to business goals
- Execute core people processes and offerings such as performance enablement, talent planning, people insights and engagement
- Provide leaders and managers with strategic and data-driven guidance on people-related challenges including org design, headcount planning and leadership effectiveness while building trust and credibility
- Collaborate with other HRBPs, Centers of Excellence and our Central Service Delivery Team to design and execute people processes and programs informed by the needs of our business
- Use Workday and other tools to support our goal of helping leaders translate data into action based on key metrics and performance indicators
- Partner with managers and Employee Relations on sensitive employee matters with empathy, consistency, and in alignment with legal and ethical standards

- A BA / BS degree or higher
- 3-5 years of HR Business Partner experience, working with senior leadership
- Comfort working with a diverse set of employees representing technical, clinical and scientific expertise
- Demonstrated experience executing core people programs (e.g., performance, engagement, organizational design)
- Experience with critical employee lifecycle and experience moments such as hiring, onboarding, talent management & training, retention, off-boarding, inclusion & belonging, and compensation & benefits administration
- Enjoy a "roll up your sleeves" environment and are comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast paced environment
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and diplomacy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational skills, project management abilities, and excellent attention to detail are a must. Succeeds at getting things done both quickly and accurately
- Passionate about leveraging AI and other emerging technologies to drive innovation across HR Practices

Preferred Primary Location: Durham hub
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
