Description and Requirements
Duties: Assist with managing a large scale 7x24x365 Hadoop cluster and MongoDB environment. Work with the existing DBA team to provide support in our non-production and production environments. Design, develop and implement new enhancements and database applications. Install/upgrade Hadoop big data platform and implement security for Hadoop big data platform. Install/Upgrade MongoDB's in on-prem and in cloud (Containers). Periodically review the new patches. design and develop new tools for process improvements. Prepare SOPs for product installations, upgrades, and any other new process. Establish best practices for monitoring. Analyze Hardware, Software requirements for the projects; assist Build team with Environment requirements. Design and develop new processes for better maintenance of the environments. Assist Application and Operations team to troubleshoot the performance issues. Participate in the on-call rotation to support a 7x24x365 environment.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (will accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience managing Hadoop clusters in a large-scale production environment. Position requires experience in the following: Experience performing Hadoop software installs and upgrades, including setting up High Availability; experience performing SOLR and HBase tuning; experience using Unix or Linux commands to identify and troubleshoot Operating System, Networking Protocols, Security, and Storage issues; experience performance tuning and troubleshooting applications or operating system issues using shell utilities and commands; experience creating, troubleshooting, or updating automated tasks for system maintenance, backups, monitoring, and troubleshooting, using Shell/Python scripting language; and, experience troubleshooting performance issues and implementing applicable solutions
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in office/2 days remote

The wage range for applicants for this position is $147,000.00 to $172,000.00 per Year. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
