Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Human Resources Associate to join our collaborative HR team. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, this role is essential in shaping the employee experience by driving our recruiting efforts, facilitating seamless onboarding, and managing core HR administrative operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about finding top talent; additionally, they take pride in ensuring new team members are fully supported and positioned for success from their first day.
This position is hybrid, meaning the HR Associate can work remotely up to 2 days per week and three days in the Charlotte office. Raftelis is located in uptown Charlotte, and parking is paid for by Raftelis.
The HR Associate will be the fourth member of the HR team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recruiting and Talent Acquisition: Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including drafting position descriptions, publishing roles on job boards, screening initial candidate resumes, and actively coordinating interview schedules to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Onboarding and Integration: Facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires; specifically, ensure all paperwork, system access requests, and introductory training schedules are completed efficiently to create a welcoming and organized day-one environment.
- HR Administration and Compliance: Maintain accurate employee personnel files, manage offboarding administrative protocols, and support ongoing compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Employee Support: Serve as a reliable, approachable point of contact for routine employee inquiries regarding daily HR policies and administrative processes, as well as draft internal communications.
- Culture: Support various HR initiatives that build and cultivate culture, including participation in inclusion efforts.
- Leadership Support: Provide administrative and operational support to the Vice President of Human Resources and the Human Resources Manager on strategic departmental initiatives and special projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 1-3 years of dedicated Human Resources experience, with demonstrated emphasis on full-cycle recruiting and employee onboarding.
- Exceptional organizational skills paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity and comfort with AI tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor when collaborating with team members at all levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential personnel information with the utmost discretion.
Preferences:
- Hands-on experience navigating and optimizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), particularly Breezy.
- Prior experience coordinating HR administrative operations within a professional services, consulting, or local government environment.

The salary range for the HR Associate position is $60k to $80k. Compensation depends on education and experience.
