The HR Business Partner, Operations at RTX acts as a strategic advisor to Operations leadership, guiding workforce strategies, organizational design, and culture. Partnering with HR Centers of Expertise and Operations leaders, this role supports transformation and change initiatives to ensure workforce strategies are implemented and aligned with business priorities.

The HRBP translates enterprise and functional strategies into actionable HR solutions, enabling Operations leaders to achieve their objectives while building workforce capability, engagement, and readiness.

What You Will Do

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to Operations leadership, influencing workforce strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Partner with leaders on talent planning, performance management, succession planning, and capability development
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, engagement, and retention strategies.

Enterprise Transformation & Change Leadership

  • Collaborate with HR CoEs and business leaders to support enterprise-wide transformation and change initiatives across Operations.
  • Drive adoption of new operating models, workforce strategies, and ways of working.
  • Partner with Change Management teams and HR CoEs to design and execute change initiatives, including communications, training, and capability-building.
  • Assess workforce readiness and cultural impact of major initiatives; identify risks and mitigation strategies.

Operational HR Support

  • Provide hands-on HR support for day-to-day Operations needs, including performance coaching, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Ensure consistency in HR processes across Operations, aligned with enterprise policies and programs.
  • Partner with HR CoEs to deploy talent programs, learning initiatives, and employee engagement strategies

Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Support

  • Build strong partnerships with Operations leaders and HR CoEs to ensure workforce strategies align with enterprise objectives and transformation roadmaps.
  • Deliver executive-ready reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive enterprise-wide initiatives and change adoption.

Travel: up to 20%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience; 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience leading enterprise HR, workforce, or transformation initiatives.
  • Prior experience in project and change management.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis.
  • Prior experience translating complex data and insights into executive-ready materials.
  • Facilitation skills with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • PMP, Prosci, or other change management certification.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, factory, or site-based operations in a complex, multi-site enterprise.
  • Hands-on experience implementing strategic and operational workforce planning tools and processes.
  • Proven success leading workforce planning, organizational design, or culture transformation initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive presence.
  • Ability to influence without authority and build trust-based relationships across businesses.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with sound judgment and bias for action.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
