Inside the Role

The HR Operations Specialist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional employee experience while ensuring the efficient execution of core HR processes for the organization. This position serves as the primary owner of contingent workforce administration, managing vendor relationships, workforce data, and staffing transactions across multiple systems. In addition to overseeing employee lifecycle activities in Workday and workforce management platforms, the role partners closely with HR Business Partners and other HR subject matter experts to support a broad range of HR initiatives and employee-related matters. Through exposure to employee relations, compliance, leave administration, recruiting support, and workforce operations, this position offers a unique opportunity to build foundational HR expertise and gain experience across multiple HR disciplines.
The role is designed for individuals seeking to grow their HR careers and provides meaningful exposure to key HR functions, creating a strong pathway toward future Human Resources Generalist, HR Business Partner, or other HR specialty roles.

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTFS 

  • Employee Onboarding: Accountable for managing all onboarding activities for new employees joining DTFS, whether as new hires or transfers. This is inclusive of pre-hire compliance and paperwork such as the I9 and internal forms and also day one experience items such as scheduling day one activities with business partners. Ensure precise data entries in Workday and associated systems to facilitate the timely onboarding of staff. Ensure all day one tasks are completed and files are stored in Workday to mitigate risk to the organization. HRIS maintenance with employee master data lives in this world as well- 25% 
  • HR Generalist Support: This support will involve partnering with the HRBP team and will include items such as employee relations, investigations, performance management, local and global compliance and payroll items among others. Support may also include assisting the recruitment teams in times of high volume. 25%  
  • WFM Time Keeping Administrator for DTFS: Collaborate with System Owners, DTFS Employees, and Managers to ensure prompt and accurate payment for the non-exempt workforce and comply with respective FLSA regulations for non-exempt workforce. Responsible for training managers in their timekeeping responsibilities system wise. - 15% 
  • Contingent Staffing: Responsible for the comprehensive management of data transactions among Beeline, ACM, and Workday to guarantee the timely onboarding, transfer, and offboarding of contingent staff. Will also be involved in the project to align vendors and systems with our brand partner at Daimler Truck. Responsible for training managers in their responsibilities within contract staff management system wise.  - 15% 
  • Leave Absence: Act as the central administrator of DTFS leaves of absence.  Central point of contact with Daimler Truck Leave Specialist and leave of absence vendor. Key point of contact for employees before, during and after their leaves.  10% 
  • HR Procurement & Invoice Management: Act as the central contact and responsible party for ensuring the HR department partners with the procurement teams and accounting teams to make sure vendors are set up in respective systems, and invoices are processed correctly and timely for payment. 10% 

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree
  • Typically requires a 0-2 years of relevant experience or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data transactions is paramount
  • Maintaining absolute confidentiality regarding sensitive information is essential on a daily basis.
