The Role
As an Account Executive - Service, you are the primary GM service support contact for assigned high-volume fleet customers. You will partner closely with GM Fleet sales teams to remove service-related roadblocks that could impact customer satisfaction and future sales.
This is a territory based role. The Account Executive must be located in Houston, TX.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
- Build and maintain positive, productive business relationships with assigned fleet accounts.
- Provide prompt, proactive service support to minimize customer vehicle downtime.
- Establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners, including retail dealers and fleet decision-makers.
- Conduct frequent joint customer calls with the Account Executive - Sales and Commercial District Sales Managers.
- Support local field sales activities, customer meetings, and industry trade shows as needed.
- Serve as a key interface between retail dealerships and fleet customers to resolve service concerns.
- Establish and administer GM Warranty In-Shop agreements with key accounts, including management of associated warranty expense.
- Provide dealership service readiness feedback and support Techline products at GM dealerships and other authorized facilities, including select GM Fleet accounts.
- Partner closely with GM District Managers - Parts & Service to review vehicles in repurchase jeopardy and seek creative solutions to avoid buy-backs.
- Provide third-level, on-site support to resolve complex automotive technical and Techline issues.
- Hold yourself and others accountable for demonstrating GM's values and cultural behaviors in all interactions.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of B2B sales and/or account management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence business partners at multiple levels.
- Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and present information clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving environment; comfortable operating with ambiguity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel 50%-75% within the assigned region.
